Promotion: Win a Years’ Worth of Energy

Promoter: Energy Locals Pty Ltd ACN 606 408 879 of Level 2, 11 Newton Street, Cremorne VIC 3121 (“Energy Locals”).

Promotional Period: 11:00am ADST, 9 November 2023 until 5:00pm ADST, 15 January 2024.

The Prize: 12 months of electricity supplied by Energy Locals up to a maximum value of AUD $1,800 inclusive of GST applied as a monthly bill credit of $150.00 to the competition winner’s account for 12 months.

Eligible Entrants: Entry is open to current Victorian Energy Locals residential or small business customers who are 18 years and over and refer a friend to Energy Locals in accordance with these Conditions during the Promotion Period.

Entry Method: To enter the Promotion, an Eligible Entrant must refer a customer to Energy Locals using the personalised link sent via the competition email, or included in the general Energy Locals refer a friend communications during the Promotion Period (“Referred Customers”). The personalised link will need to be used so that the referral can be attributed to the relevant Energy Locals customer. Entry is automatic on completion of the above.

Entries permitted: There is no limit to how many times a customer may be entered into the Promotion during the Promotion Period, however entries will only be valid if the Referred Customer remains a customer of Energy Locals for a minimum of 40 calendar days.

Draw method: The competition is a game of chance and will be drawn by a computerised random number generator. The winner will be drawn on 29 February 2024 at 11:00am ADST. Up to 5 runners-up will be drawn to allow for the re-allocation of the prize, should the winner be deemed ineligible following the draw.

Winner notification: Energy Locals will contact the winner using their existing account contact details on 29 February 2024.

Claiming the prize: Following notification and acceptance of this prize, the credit of $1,800.00 inc GST will be applied to the winner’s Energy Locals account monthly as a credit of $150.00. The prize is not transferrable for cash, or able to be transferred to anyone else and the winner must remain an Energy Locals customer for the 12 months following the draw to receive all of the credits included in this prize. The winner must claim the prize by 11:59pm ADST, 4 March 2024.

Prize redraw: If the winner has not claimed the prize by 11:59pm ADST on 4 March 2024, the prize will be re-allocated in accordance with these Conditions.

Prerequisites to Claim: The entrant agrees and acknowledges that they have read these Conditions of Entry and that entry into the Promotion is deemed to be acceptance of these Condition of Entry.

Personal information: Entrants’ personal information will be collected by the Promoter. Personal information will be stored on the Promoter’s database. The Promoter may use this information for future marketing purposes regarding its products, including contacting the entrant electronically. The Promoter is bound by the Australian Privacy Principles in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and its privacy policy which is located at www.energylocals.com.au. The Promoter’s privacy policy contains information about how the entrant may access, update and seek correction of the personal information the Promoter holds about them and how the entrant may complain about any potential breach by the Promoter of the Australian Privacy Principles or any other Australian privacy laws and how such complaints will be dealt with. The Promoter collects personal information about entrants to enable them to participate in this Promotion and may disclose the entrants’ personal information to third parties including its contractors and agents, prize suppliers and service providers to assist in conducting this Promotion and to the State and Territory lottery departments as required under the relevant lottery legislation. If the entrant does not provide their personal information as requested, they may be ineligible to enter or claim a prize in the Promotion. Personal information collected from entrants will not be disclosed to any entity located outside of Australia.

Changes to Promotion: If for any reason any aspect of this Promotion is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of computer virus, communications network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failure or any cause beyond the control of the Promoter, the Promoter may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion and invalidate any affected entries, or suspend or modify a prize, subject to State or Territory regulation.
