Our work and partnerships in the renewable space have seen us recently awarded Finders Green Energy Retailer of the year for the second year in a row. We’ve also recently been named as one of Australia’s best electricity providers by CHOICE.

We’ve seen an explosion in customer numbers recently and expect this growth to continue as we explore new products and services to exceed our customers’ expectations.

The role

The Regulatory and Compliance Advisor will play a pivotal role in ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards. Through collaboration with key stakeholders such as Finance, Partnerships, Operations and Legal, this key role takes responsibility for supporting the business to navigate the complex regulatory landscape, interpreting laws and implementing strategies that ensure compliance while supporting the company’s operational objectives.

What does a typical day look like?
  • Regulatory Analysis and Interpretation: Stay abreast of changing regulatory frameworks, laws, and policies within the energy retail sector. Analyse their impact on operations and advise on necessary adjustments to ensure compliance.
  • Compliance Oversight: Develop, implement, and monitor compliance programs to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations. Conduct audits and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement.
  • Policy Development: Collaborate with key stakeholders in the business to develop policies and procedures that align with regulatory requirements. Ensure these policies are communicated effectively across the organization.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and submit regulatory reports accurately and within specified deadlines. Maintain comprehensive records of compliance activities and documentation for audits.
  • Advisory and Training: Provide guidance and training to employees on compliance matters, fostering a culture of compliance awareness and ethical behaviour within the organisation.
  • Regulatory Liaison: Serve as a primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, responding to inquiries, participating in regulatory meetings, and representing the company’s interests.

Who you’ll be working with?

You will be part of a great team environment, where we work hard and laugh in equal measure.  We’re a passionate bunch of people from a variety of backgrounds; adding to the eclectic mix.

Enough about us, let’s hear about you…

  • Experience in a legal, compliance, regulatory or policy based role.
  • Ability to quickly build rapport with stakeholders and take ownership over outcomes.
