The McGrath Foundation’s Pink Test kicks off in Sydney this week, aiming to raise at least $1.3 million to fund 10 McGrath Breast Care Nurses for a year, and support an extra 1,000 families through breast cancer.
To coincide with the Pink Test, Aussie social enterprise energy start-up Energy Locals, in support of its new partnership with The McGrath Foundation, is launching Pink Power for residential & business customers in both NSW & SE Qld.
Pink Power is setup and managed by Energy Locals, which is also ranked amongst the cheapest providers in NSW and Qld on the Government’s Energy Made Easy price comparison site.
Tracy Bevan, McGrath Foundation Director & Ambassador said “We’re thrilled to welcome Energy Locals as our newest partner. Energy Locals support will help the McGrath Foundation raise funds to place McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities across Australia, helping make life that little bit easier for families experiencing breast cancer”.
For all new customers who register between the 4th – 8th January 2018, the days in which the test is being played, 100% of the profit generated from Pink Power plans will be donated to the McGrath Foundation. What’s more, this isn’t a short-term promotion: all profit from any customers who register will go to the McGrath Foundation for the duration the customer remains with Energy Locals.
“We love what the McGrath Foundation are doing, and we’re proud to be in partnership with them. The Pink Test has become an institution over the Australian summer and we wanted to support it and the McGrath Foundation however we could.” said the Partnership Manager of Energy Locals, Luke Melisi.
“Our business model is simple: customers get competitive prices for their energy, from a local Aussie company that gives back to causes and organisations people care about.”
Typically, customers of Energy Locals have the opportunity to select a community partner to support, and at no extra cost, 50% of the profit from a customer’s bill is donated to that partner each quarter. This special offer will donate all of the profit.
