Latest Ausgrid network update
Ausgrid advises that 13,000 customers remain without power in parts of Sydney and the Central Coast following last weekend’s storms.
127,000 homes and businesses have been restored since the height of the bad weather.
Ausgrid technicians today are targeting the following areas and surrounding suburbs:
Arcadia, Artarmon, Ashfield, Asquith, Avalon, Beecroft, Belrose, Berkeley Vale, Birchgrove, Caringbah, Castlecrag, Chatswood, Cheltenham, Concord, Davidson, Denistone, Drummoyne, Frenchs Forest, Georges Hall, Gladesville, Gunderman, Holgate, Hornsby, Hornsby Heights, Hurlstone Park, Killara, Kingsgrove, Kirrawee, Kogarah, Lane Cove, Lindfield, Lugarno, Marsfield, Narraweena, North Ryde, Ourimbah, Padstow, Padstow Heights, Point Clare, Rockdale, Spencer, St Ives, Thornleigh, Umina, Wahroonga and Yagoona.
Many hazards have been cleared allowing technicians to access the network safely to make further repairs.
Ausgrid is aiming to have all customers restored by the end of the weekend.
Emergency Services are continuing to remove fallen trees and debris across the network, with three special strike forces assigned to hazard clearance duties today.
Ausgrid advises there are still trees down in some suburbs and other unstable trees may yet fall.
Stay at least 8m clear of fallen trees and powerlines and always assume powerlines are live.
